Your passwords

Passwords are generated by JavaScript in your browser using crypto.getRandomValues. They are never sent to our server or to anyone else, never stored, and they are hidden from the analytics tool described below.

Settings on your device

Your choices of length and character types are saved in your browser’s local storage so they are ready next time. If you pick a language from the menu, a cookie named lang remembers it for one year. Neither is used to identify you.

Usage analytics

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the page, such as which buttons they click and how far they scroll, so we can improve it. Clarity collects device and browser details, approximate location and interactions with the page. Clarity loads only if you choose Allow in the banner, and it may then set cookies to recognise repeat visits. If you choose Decline or ignore the banner, it never loads. Microsoft processes this data as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical request data such as IP addresses to deliver the page and protect it from abuse.
